A few months ago there was a rumor that the Ghostbusters would be re-teaming for a new film, in which they would get the same CG treatment that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles recently received. Part of that rumor has now been confirmed by Variety. The ectoplasm-fighting quartet will indeed be digitalized, however, it will be for a video game. The four original cast members, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis have all given voice and likeness rights to the gamemakers, and the script, which is a sequel to Ghostbusters 2, will be written by Aykroyd and Ramis. Gaming site Kotaku has a screen cap from the game.
