Though I don’t play many video games, I’m looking forward to this one. It’s an interesting idea, and I wonder what kind of a story they’ve come up with to meld these two very different worlds. The official site of the game, WorldsCollide.com, has been updated, with some character and environment renders. We get a look at Superman, Batman, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. The MK characters look cool, and Supes looks all right, but I really like what they’ve done with Batman. They’ve kept the traditional suit but made it look more armored. Pretty cool. An interesting note about the game - apparently there will be ‘modified’ fatalities. The violence and blood will be somewhat toned down, according to MK co-creator Ed Boon via GameTap. It looks like you probably won’t be able to rip Superman’s head off after giving him a beating. Click on the thumbnails for much bigger looks.
